Project Summary
The FLOWER project aims to enhance the financial literacy of rural women at risk of social exclusion. Partnering with organisations from Slovenia, Spain, France, and Turkey, the project provides essential training and resources to empower women to make informed financial decisions.
Key activities of the project include:
Collection of Best Practices: Gathering successful methods and strategies for teaching financial literacy to rural women, ensuring the most effective approaches are shared and implemented.
- Creation of an Electronic Handbook for Financial Literacy Trainers: We are developing a comprehensive and interactive guide that includes quizzes, exercises, and videos to support trainers in delivering engaging and effective financial education.
- Training Course for Trainers: We are conducting a five-day training program in Zaragoza, Spain, to enhance the skills and teaching abilities of 16 adult trainers from partner organisations.
- Financial Literacy Workshops: We are organising hands-on workshops in partner countries to provide local training opportunities to at least 80 rural women and help them gain essential financial management skills.
The FLOWER project strives to promote women’s financial independence and sustainable growth in rural areas by improving their financial knowledge and skills. The project is designed to create immediate and long-lasting social, economic, and educational benefits, addressing rural women’s specific needs and challenges.
Objectives of the Project:
- To create a structure for financial education for rural women by fostering collaboration among the four partner organisations.
- To improve the financial education teaching skills of adult trainers.
- To provide local financial education training opportunities to rural women at risk of exclusion.
Expected Outcomes:
- A comprehensive collection of best practices for financial literacy training.
- An electronic handbook tailored for financial literacy trainers.
- A network of well-trained financial literacy educators.
- Enhanced financial literacy among rural women, leading to greater economic participation and empowerment.
